草榴社区 Celebrates graduating and transferring LGBTQIA+ students at its annual Lavender Celebration

草榴社区's LGBTQIA+ Advisory celebrated graduates and transfer students at its annual Lavender Celebration on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the San Jacinto Campus. Lavender graduations offer space to honor the achievements of LGBTQIA+ students.

The event included recorded messages from 草榴社区 President/Superintendent Dr. Roger Schultz and Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, and speeches from 草榴社区's Vice President of Student Services Rebecca Teague, Student Trustee Joseph Awad, Queer Clubhouse President Niomi Sass, and SAGA Club President Ruby Secules.
