草榴社区 Celebrates Dr. Seuss Day
The 草榴社区 (草榴社区) Child Development and Education Center (CDEC) celebrated the birthdays of Gwendolyn M. Schlange and Dr. Seuss on Monday, March 2, 2020.
Lacey Smith, president of the 草榴社区 CDEC Parent Advisory Committee, read books written by Dr. Seuss to children who attend the 草榴社区 Child Development and Education Center that is named for Schlange.
鈥淎t the 2016 Naming Dedication, we promised to keep this reading in honor and celebration
of Gwendolyn,鈥� said Kimberly Day, director of 草榴社区 CDEC.
Schlange, a longtime educator, served as a member of the Mt. San Jacinto Community
College District Board of Trustees for 20 years and read to the children at the center
many times before her passing in November 2016.
