Calvin L. Smith was appointed on Monday, October 30, 2023, by the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Board of Trustees to fill the Trustee Area 2 vacancy. Trustee Area 2, which takes in San Jacinto, Hemet, and surrounding communities, is one of five trustee areas for ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. Trustee Smith resides in San Jacinto.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø (²ÝÁñÉçÇø), the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Athletics Department, and the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation celebrated four Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees and two Foundation honorees on Oct. 13, 2023 during the Hall of Fame and Recognition Ceremony.
