Tonya Burke was appointed general member of the Inland Empire Labor Institute and co-chair of the Contract and Education/Economic Development Committee of the Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø (²ÝÁñÉçÇø) proudly welcomed 16,994 students today as the 2024-25 academic year officially began. San Jacinto, Menifee Valley, and Temecula Valley campuses were filled with vibrant energy as new and returning students embarked on their educational journeys.

Roger Schultz, Ph.D., ²ÝÁñÉçÇø's President/Superintendent, has been elected as the President of the Chief Executive Officers of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC) Board of the Community College League of California. Schultz will also serve as the Chair for the Community College League of California (League) Board of Directors.

California Community Colleges announced the launch of a new initiative to increase the number of nurses to meet the growing needs of California's aging and diverse population.

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District proudly welcomed Samantha Cardenas as the new student trustee. Samantha steps into this role following the graduation of her predecessor, Joseph Awad. Superintendent/President Dr. Roger Schultz administered the Oath of Office during the board meeting.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø (²ÝÁñÉçÇø) is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its Nursing program to address California's critical shortage of nurses. Following a rigorous full program review by the California Board of Nursing, authorization was granted on May 23, 2024, to increase the program's annual enrollment from 48 to 72 students.

Three ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Honors students presented their research at the Honors Research Symposium held at Stanford University in May 2024.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø's Student Life and Development Program recognized ²ÝÁñÉçÇø's 2023-2024 Student Government Association (SGA) officers at the SGA Recognition Ceremony on May 7, 2024 in Temecula.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø (²ÝÁñÉçÇø) celebrated Adult Education students on May 16, 2024 for earning their GED at the college this year.
